Social Media Agent privacy policy

1.Information we collect

When you comment on our Instagram posts or send us a direct message, the App receives and processes the following data through the Meta Graph API:

Instagram user ID

A platform-scoped ID that identifies your profile.

Username

Your public Instagram username (comments only).

Interaction content

The text of your comment or direct message.

Interaction context

Metadata such as the post ID, comment ID and time of the interaction.

Follower status

Whether you follow our business profile.

2.How we use the information

We process your data only to automate replies to campaigns. The App:

Keyword check

Looks for the campaign's keywords in your comment or message.

AI reply

Passes the message to Google's Gemini model to write a reply in your language or dialect.

Delivery

Sends an automatic comment or direct message with the resource or campaign link you asked for.

We do not store, log or sell your personal data. Processing happens in memory to deliver what you asked for, and the data is discarded right after.

3.Data sharing and third-party services

We do not share, sell or rent your data. It passes only through the services the automation needs:

Meta Platform API

To receive events and send replies.

Google Gemini API

To write replies based on the message.

4.Data retention

The App is stateless. We keep no database of your messages, profiles or user IDs. Once the automatic reply is sent, the data is deleted from memory.

5.Data deletion instructions

Under Meta's platform policies you can ask for your data to be deleted or revoke the App's access. We store no data, so there is nothing to delete, but you can remove the App or ask us to confirm:

Step 1

On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.

Step 2

Go to Apps and websites and find Social Media Agent.

Step 3

Select Remove next to the App.

By email

Send us your Instagram username and we'll confirm that no records are kept.

6.Security

We use secure HTTPS webhooks and keep secrets in environment variables, to prevent anyone from intercepting data in transit.
